High school players making Gophers football recruiting visits this weekend:
Louisiana defensive tackle Wendell Beckwith
Colorado defensive back Kenny Bell
Houston safety Adrian Bennett
Indianapolis defensive back James Manuel
Dallas defensive lineman Josh Tauaefa
Houston wide receiver Chris Hawkins
Columbus (Ohio) linebacker Will Tatum.
 

Dallas Offensive Lineman Javius Townsend will be visiting also.
 

Wendell Beckwith is a DE, not DT.

I know you're just relaying the information, so I'm just correcting misinformation.

Also, it's Javius, not Jarius.

Like I said already in this thread, he is a DE, not DT. He is 6'3"-6'4", 210-215, and has DI-A offers from So. Miss, Tulane, and Tulsa.

Ratings:

Rivals: NR
Scout: 1-star
ESPN: 77 (3-star) #61 DE

Seems like he is an under-the-radar type who may get more attention as the season progresses. The scouts are concerned whether he can grow adequately to play DE in college (or conversely, fast enough to play LB), but do like his upside as a speed-rushing DE either way.
 

I am not sure if Beckwith is coming anymore, but you can add the monster OL from FL. Jonathon Ragoo.

it appears that both Townsend and Beckwith are no longer making it. I don't know for 100%, but both Scout and Rivals were reporting them to visit and now they have both retracted the visit date for these two.
