How much more undpredictable and lousy could either the gophers or vikings be?

I'd say that when the Gophers are lousy, their lousiness is more predictable than the Vikings' lousiness. The Vikings always find new and fascinating ways to suck and/or blow it. When the Gophs suck, it's with quiet Midwestern reserve. Heck, they even managed to win their last two games. On the one hand, it lacks that train-wreck fascination to make it more interesting. On the other hand, it's a good deal less undignified.

The Gophers came on at the end of the season and beat 2 teams with winning records, the Vikings have quit and have yet to beat a team with a winning record. Easy answer, I'll take the Gophers any day.

Haha, true. Very true.

Amen!!

Nothing about an NFL Football game, its teams, or its players reminds me of anything associated with College Football.

Go back to October 10, 2003, and see if you still agree with this comment...

True, that one was quite Viking-esque. But really, outside of the odd Mason-era game, they aren't as consistent at it as the Vikings. They've been doing it for much longer.

Plus, the Vikings do it on a larger stage.

With the Vikes, it's 50 years of abject and disgusting failure and they continue to receive "a pass" at nearly every turn.

It is easy to conceive that with the impending and almost certain lock-out for 2011, and the end of the Metrodome lease, that this was likely the Vikings' last home game ever...and it wasn't at home.

except for the boosters who pay the players and the summer "jobs". how delusional are you? Both are all about money.

I love seeing hayseed sheepbleeper Jared Allen waving his arms trying to get the crowd to make noise in the tail end of a meaningless blowout.

not smart enough to figure out what I am implying?

Are you not smart enough to figure out that my sarcastic response was my way of both disagreeing with you and poking a hole in your argument?

i seriously have never seen a team, at any level, care less about a game. I was so embarressed by the vikings last night, and it just reinforced that the Gophers are my favorite team in town.
