From 10 years ago re: Illinois hosting the Bears. With inflation, hopefully it's more than $2 million (and goes directly back to the rev sports/facilities). Of course any parking revenue goes to the University and not athletics. How could anyone be against this for one year?

The University of Illinois' athletic department anticipates an additional $2 million in revenue this year from its agreement to play host to the Chicago Bears at Memorial Stadium this season.
The Bears, forced to find a temporary home while Soldier Field is rebuilt, struck an agreement last fall to play at Memorial Stadium.
Under terms of that agreement, Illinois will receive about 10 percent of gate receipts from Bears games as well as 50 percent of revenue from parking and concessions, said Warren Hood, associate athletic director for the Fighting Illini.
Additionally, Illinois gets to sell and keep all revenue from sales of signs on its new scoreboard during Bears games. The Bears will sell and keep revenue from temporary signs in the stadium.
