Uninspiring
I'm excited! Coyle said all of the right things... at least all of the things that he CAN say at this time without being a sleaze. He was personable, spoke with purpose, had good presence, demonstrated report with the media, and presented the facts.

He didn't dither when asked about expectations. Without hesitation, he said that he is seeking a consistent program with annual tournament appearances. He is looking for someone with experience who can be the face of the program. And, most impressively, he is not working with a search committee.

Reading between the lines- I sense that Coyle has had conversations with numerous individuals but has already moved strongly towards one candidate. My hunch is that Coyle has locked in on existing head coach whose team is still playing. Coyle has always demonstrated respect for a coach's focus to be solidly on their current team. He will move quickly to finalize a deal once their season is complete.

To anyone who watched this entire presser...What did Doogie mean "Thanks for 3rd person drop" statement at the end of the questions?
