I'm surprised they would post this on YouTube, not sure what the value is, but interesting to see. I guess this means he may not be back with Fox on the sidelines this year. Here is the description at the bottom of the video: "Former U. of Minnesota head football coach Tim Brewster auditions for ESPN College Football."

Go Gophers!!

He's not bad. He's no Dan Patrick. I think Glen Mason is better. He got more and more comfortable and didn't really go down any line of conversation without having some idea of what he was going to say. No stuttering or hemming and hawing and his body language was good. He looked comfortable. The studio may be the place for him.

Wouldn't it be cool if John Gutekunst and Joe Salem got into broadcasting?

He is better than Matt Millen

Remarkably, it took until the 2:23 mark for him to drop his first "tremendous."

Just think if he got this job he wouldn’t have his home in a short sale like the one he did in Shorewood. The guy even overpromises and under delivers to his family. KOOLAIDE FOR EVERYONE

One less reason to watch ESPN, potentially. Not that I need any more.

Waiting on his one on one with Brett B. I guess ESPN has to ask themselves, is Timmy hungry or is he starving?

He was unable to single-handedly reverse a 4-decade course of mediocrity-to-awfulness.

Therefore, he is a piece of human garbage.

Congratulations. Here's a sticker.

Psst. The above isn't much of an exaggeration. There are plenty of people who visit this board (some of whom have posted in this thread) who think that Tim Brewster is human garbage.

This.

If he isn't a recruiting coordinator/position coach he should be on tv.

Some believe Brewster is responsible for the Great Depression and starting World War II as well.

I don't know if we can say that but I am pretty sure he is responsible for the U hiring Coach Kill and that wasn't too bad.

"Sources tell me that Tim Brewster will join the CBS College Football team as a game analyst / studio analyst."

I expect he'll be our color guy for UNLV.

He was awful on the sidelines last year. It was painful. In the studio I don't think he'd be a hype machine like he was most of the time last year, so I think there he could do a good job as an announcer. As long as they have a coach work with him to minimize his buzzwords.

Apparently the ESPN interview came up short?

Maybe Brewster will be doing the UNLV-Gopher game. :)

ummm...good for him...the man has to move on in life himself.;)
