Video: KU students can't name KU football players

I saw this the other day and it reminded me of a game day experience about three years ago at the U. We were walking back from the stadium to our parking lot on the West Bank after a game with thousands of other fans all decked out in our maroon and gold when we walked past a group of students taking a break outside one of the science research buildings. One of the students asked us , "Was there a football game today?"

Some students don't have any interest in supporting or following the athletic teams for the school they attend. I don't get that mindset myself but I guess you can't force somebody to care about something just because you do so I try to not let it bother me.
 

I remember when Ben Roethlisberger was a senior at Miami of Ohio playing in a bowl game a reporter walked around campus asked people if they knew how to spell his name ,some had no idea who the qb was on the team and nobody could spell his name.
