he had previously said he was cutting to 10-- now lists 11. "So your telling me there is a chance......."

Should've been posted in the "All Things Rashad Vaughn" thread and isn't worthy enough of getting its own thread IMO. In other news...

You are probably right since it's 11 teams instead of 5 or less. I just figure now that players are starting to announce their cuts that the announcements could probably use their own thread.

Stupid thing to argue about.

Yeah I agree a major cut could deserve its own thread, but I don't think what Rashad released was anywhere near groundbreaking or helpful. You know, it's like, what's the point of cutting a list to 11? That does nothing. If you are going to cut a list, make it 3-7 schools. I would argue that UNC, UCONN, Georgetown, and Iowa State aren't even contenders any more

*@Golden13- There's no arguing! I like MadtownGopher! It's just, the list cut by Vaughn is pretty unimportant and confusing to why he cut it, yet still left 11 teams on it.

Lol k I was a bit blunt. For what it's worth, I agree w you that it should have gone to Vaughn's thread... I think he's truly open to all of the schools and if he waits to commit until the spring, as he said he would, then several schools will naturally drop off as they get other commitments at the position. He'll probably have it cut to 3-7 in the months leading up to his spring commitment.

I agree that by the spring he should only have a smaller group a schools left, since many players at the 2 and 3 will make their commitments in the fall.

IMO I bet it will be either us or Kentucky, just a gut feeling nothing more. Like Gameday said, ISU, G'town, UNC and UCONN, aren't really contenders, I don't think Baylor has much of a shot. UNLV is only in because of Fridley, doubt Vaughn wants to play in the mountain west. So that leaves Zona, Kansas, Minny and UK

Tweets from Matt Gravett of the Gopher report and Gophers 247 actually

Still think ISU, UK, UNC, UNLV, UCLA, Baylor, Kansas, and the #Gophers are the only schools with a chance at Vaughn.

With Kentucky and Minnesota being the favorites.

It is odd I haven't heard a lot about Arizona and Vaughn. I don't think the Wildcats have any chance of landing him tbh.

Georgetown? A a regular NCAA tournament program but my god John Thompson couldn't run an offense if he had LeBron James and Kevin Durant on his team.
