During this three game losing skid, I have noticed a common theme that has plagued this team. Our players simply don't value the basketball enough. We are often in great position to get rebounds, but wind up getting stripped or "tied up" because our players are lax in how they go after and possess the ball.
Colton was guilty of this in Indiana when he allowed a player to go over the top and tip the ball right out of his hands and in for 2 points. I've also seen Ralph and Rodney getting stripped or tied up when they clearly should have gotten rebounds or loose balls.
I figure we lose about 2 or 3 possessions per half because we are simply too lax in valuing the ball.
I hope Tubby emphasizes this between making the players shoot 25,000 FT's daily...
