If what LA Times reporting is correct, then USC has huge sanctions coming down, including: Loss of 20 scholarships, 2-year bowl ban, limited recruiting contact, etc. This will have a serious effect on USC for the next 5-10 years, I don't care how much talent they may have now. Wonder if Seantrel is second guessing his decision?

I wonder how many, if any, transfers we'll see from their program when it goes official. Probably less than I'm hoping for, but I can still dream.

Does anyone know if they lose National Championships? Heisman Trophies?

Limited recruiting contact? Does anybody seriously think Lane Kiffin is going to be able to contain himself? I don't.

The BCS committee will have to decide if they are going to take away their national title. I would expect them to, but it's not up to the NCAA to decide.

It feels like christmas morning! What did I do to recieve such great news?

Same with the Heisman Trophy, that will be up to the NY Downtown Athletic Club(or whatever it is called these days).

Could not have happened to a more deserving program!

Do transfers out of sanctioned programs typically get some sort of exception from the usual loss-of-one-year-of-eligibility-rule or permission to play right away? Anyone know?

I think if the sanctions are considered bad enough, the NCAA will allow players to transfer w/o penalty.

students who just signed NLIs (this incoming class) are usually released if asked. If the school refuses to release these students, they can appeal to the NCAA and their appeals are usually granted. Unfortunately, there is not an exception. he loss of eligibility only hurts those who have already redshirted
