I am very close to convincing at least one of my buddies to go to Minneapolis for the USC game. Of course, I had to hide my true intentions by talking up a Minnesota sports week-end.

This is our tentative schedule:

-September 17, leave Winnipeg early attend Twins/A’s Friday night
-September 18 Gophers-USC
-September 19 Vikings-Dolphins
-September 20 back to Winnipeg

Tickets for Twins and Vikings are reasonable. We will just buy standing room tickets for Twins and StubHub for Vikings but Gophers-USC are pricey (cheapest are 90). Do people feel prices will go up or down? How about outside the stadium on game day? Will they be a fortune or will there be a good supply? Any other suggestions?

How many rows are in the upper deck? How are seats way up top? I suspect ok having seen the outside of TCF but who knows.

For nearly any Gopher game (especially non-conference) I would recommend waiting to get tickets during the week prior to the game at face value or below. I would never pay more than listed price for a ticket as face-value tickets have always been available on craigslist or outside the stadium. As interesting of a game as the USC matchup should be, I'd be shocked if there is an above-face market for the tickets once we hit the week (or day) of the game.

Sounds like a nice weekend, as far as seats in TCF they are all good, doesn't matter where or how high up, IMO.

For the Twins, buy your standing room tix online before you come down and pick them up at will call. On gameday the scalpers buy up all the standing rooms, and then want about $50-60 for a $22 ticket. Maybe you knew that, just an FYI.

Great weekend planned. Sounds like exactly what some in my group are doing that weekend, Winnipegopher. I myself am doing the Twins/A's game on Friday, but skipping the Vikings game. I agree with the recommendation to get the SRO tix sooner than later - check the Twins website.

Not really a bad seat in the house at The Bank, near as I've been able to tell. I suspect you'll see ticket prices fall quite a bit come a few days before the game. The prices on Stubhub are high, but face value on these tix is $60, so that's why they are starting so high. Prices will surely drop to face or below come game day. Hang in there and be patient.

Thanks so I guess the way to go is buy twins and Vikings now, Gophers later.

There is a Ticket Exchange link on the Message Board at the top of this page. Someone has USC tix available at $175 for two. Too high. I would not go over face value unless these are very good seats.
