Tonight
Ohio State @ Northwestern

Man, I'd be really happy if the Gophers could get to the 6 seed, just for TV purposes.

NW, Penn St, or Nebraska... just don't want to play Purdue back to back.
Playing MSU in the 2nd round wouldn't be bad. Nothing bad about losing to MSU.

This is a testament to the Gophers inconsistencies, but I don't really care who the Gophers play. Only two things would have mattered to me. Getting a bye, and good TV times.

As far as who we play, there's not one team that scares me. THe Gophers toughest opponent is themselves. If they play the way they should, they can beat anyone. If they play like they did in some of their road games, they can lose to Penn State. I don't think any team is a bad "matchup" for them.

If I HAD to choose teams to play in the 2nd round, I'd take Wisconsin or Ohio State. But MSU is fine.

I'd love another crack at Wisconsin, it'd be fun to win the season series against them. I agree with you Jimmy, we can beat anyone if we play like we can, and we can lose to anyone if we don't show up. Hopefully the momentum from being Indiana jump starts a winning streak to close the season, then we can make a run at the BTT Title.

There is not a team in the BTT that our Gophers have no chance against. This is gonna be a fun tourney.

Can't wait for Quarterfinal Friday. That's when the rubber hits the road.

I don't want our boys overlooking Eighth-Final Thursday. We can't have the team going into it assuming we will be in Quarterfinal Friday, because, as PSU showed us last night, everyone in the B1G can bring it.

Every year since the BTT has been around, I always play the matchup game. Who I want the Gophers to face, and who I don't want them to face. And I'll probably do it again next year. But not this year. This year I'm more concerned about the Gophers turning the ball over into oblivion.

And to add to that, SS, this is the type of situation that a season long schedule of line change substitutions that so many abhore can come into play. Tired legs versus fresh legs types of situations. So many things to consider in the overall big picture.

Definitely not assuming anything on Thursday. ... I haven't forgotten the Gophers' dreadful performance vs. a p*ss poor Northwestern team! That said, really really hoping all the best teams win on Thursday. A (for example) Indiana-Iowa, Ohio State-Michigan, Michigan State-Gophers, and Wisconsin-Illinois quartet would make for a delicious Friday.

I'd take the bracket as is in a heart beat. Anything but the 1-3-1 zone please.
