This gets more & more painful to post with each passing day. Oh well, still looking forward to it. ... it's our only chance (insert Lloyd Christmas sound bite here).

4:30 p.m. -- #7 Iowa (6-8) vs. #10 GOPHERS (5-10), ESPN2
6:55 p.m. -- #6 Purdue (8-7) vs. #11 Nebraska (4-11), ESPN2

Friday, March 9 (Quarterfinals)
11 a.m. -- #1 Michigan State (12-3) vs. Northwestern/Illinois winner, ESPN
1:25 p.m. -- #4 Wisconsin (9-5) vs. Indiana/Penn State winner, ESPN
5:30 p.m. -- #2 Michigan (11-4) vs. Iowa/GOPHERS winner, BTN
7:55 p.m. -- #3 Ohio State (11-4) vs. Purdue/Nebraska winner, BTN

We had a reasonable game against Michigan. Playing them in the quarterfinals wouldn't be the end of the world.
 

It's very possible a win over Iowa might be necessary to even reach the NIT.

Among potential 1st-day opponents, I would think playing the Hawkeyes would get the Gophers' blood boilin' more than any other team. I hope it doesn't sit well with the players and coaches that we got swept by them. It bugs me, but at least I can rest knowing it won't bother Doogie (because Iowa games don't count on Tubby's record).
