If all is true about a plane leaving around four from Boise, Coach Pete will not be on it. According to a friend of mine with ties to Boise's athletic dept, Coach Pete has a 430 press conference discussing their bowl game. Boise St athletics' only concern is Peterson bailing for Stanford, where he has strong ties.
 

According to Broncosports.com, the presser starts at 7pm and will cover bowl announcements. The site states the Coach Petersen will be in attendance.....

Bronco fan here. Something that I haven't seen on any of these threads re coaches is that Coach Pete told his backup qb that he would remain at Boise as long as that qb, Southwick, was here. Southwick is a redshirt freshman.
Don't know any ties Pete has to Stanford. He was at Oregon for about 5 years though.
 

I wonder if it bothers him that everybody spells his last name wrong?

welp i guess that quashes what little was left of the petersen rumors. CRAP. was a dream anyway...
 


If he's not coming to Minnesota, I hope he stays at Boise St.

Look at the day, it said 2008. can't find anything on the site either.

the Empire Builder leaves Boise at 8:30 - there are seversl "Petersons" on board....one even has a sleeper
 



Jerry Kill will also be attending his teams banquet tonight.

You are absolutely correct Gopherfan. I just wnt to the site to see if there was a feed for the presser.

Just so you know. we are 1 hour ahead of Mountain time. So it would be 5:30 our time for his press conference.
 


This would be the kill shot hire everyone is talking about.

No way the Empire Builder can make it here for a Monday press conference, unless it's NEXT Monday. :D That would be an under the radar way to get here though.
 

I have contacted my Boise contact and had this presser re-confirmed. still set for 4:30 Mountain Time. No further details. Ill keep you all posted if I hear anything further

I've read where there is a major snag to the Minnesota deal. As many know already, the BSU coaching cupboards have been raided in past years. There were new parameters set when Coach Pete signed his new 3 year deal this year. In other words BSU was sick & tired of BCS conferences knocking on the door, so they made sure their butts were covered, in what now looks to be a brilliant move by Gene & Kustra. It's no secret that Bob Kustra and Al Davis are good friends, fast forward to Coach Pete's new deal he signed this year. Remember the deal Al Davis received when Tampa Bay came calling for Gruden? The Raiders received a substantial amount of money and future draft picks for Gruden, who was still under contract with the Raiders. Draft picks aren't in play obviously, but cash is. You may want to sit down, but there is a 3.25 million buyout, in other words you wanna play, you gotta pay. Minnesota is balking and are probaly on the phone with the governor of Minnesota asking him to remove the "compact deal" the indian casinos have with the state. Remember who foot alot of the bill for UM's new stadium, indian reservations. They even have an entire section of the new stadium dedicated to them. (mfimbriahd) good night!
