I have my limits. I support Gophers that want to go to class. I support Gophers who play by the rules. I support Gophers that want to improve themself through hard work.

Lets compare those goals with this:

1. Kicked out of dorm(s)
2. Arrested for shoplifting and roughing up a security guard.
3. Possibly involved in a laptop theft in a dorm.

None of these events makes me feel better. What would make me feel better is that a student at risk would take advantage of their opportunity and grow up.

So you're one of those people who think TRUE FANS must be blind? You probably think Al Nolen has a great jump shot, Travis Busch was a great player, and Dan Monson was a good coach. A true fan can be objective and can criticize his/her favorite team when they need to be criticized. A blind fan is what you are suggesting, and that is more detrimental to a team/program than anything else.

Royce White did not come to the U with a clean slate. He came with a past, including cheating and getting thrown out of De La Salle. He is never going to play for the Gophers. Maybe Fresno State will sign him up. Hope this helps.

Accused is the operative word. Tubby and Maturi have also had high praise for Trevor so far. The difference is that Trevor is being an adult and likely realizing the opportunity before whereas Royce seems to be continuing to get himself in deeper and deeper until, now, he's been shown the door for his actions.

These are not just unsubstantiated allegations, at least not the MOA theft and assault. He was actually arrested and charged. The laptop incident whether he is guilty or not shows sheer stupidity, when you already have a prior incident over your head and so recent at that, you don't put yourself in a situation like that. If White is not found guilty in court that makes his actions acceptable? I say let the guy go now rather than later after several more incidents on his part. The kid just does not get it. He was willing to throw away possible NBA money over $100 outfit and a $1000 laptop, this would have been chump change if he would have kept his nose clean for a year or two. So No I do not support Royce White, I support the Gophers and the U.

Actually what happens to Royce's future with the team need not have anything to do with whether he is convicted of these offenses in a court of law. The university can do their own investigation and decide how the team will respond. He was suspended from the team without legal process and he can be dismissed from the team just as easily. No-one has a legal right to be a member of the Gopher basketball team. Futhermore, the rest of us do not have to wait for a court decision to be fed up with his behavior.

When the news first broke of the MOA incident, I was just like you. It's easy to hate a faceless name on a messageboard, but to see old pictures of a smiling happy kid and to read his past blog entries addressed at us the fans, I am left with feeling pity for this poor kid. I desperately hope he can turn the corner whether it be in a Gopher uniform or not. There's nothing worse than to see a kid throw his life away. C'mon Royce, please get some help!
