Time to let them all play on the defensive side of the ball adding depth the next two weeks at home. Don’t burn any more redshirts, but get them some game action.

GREAT IDEA! Why not? In looking at our 2018 recruits, our #5 recruit was Alex Riegelsperger, #6 was Jamaal Teague, and #7 was Nolan Edmonds. All were recruited to play defense. Do we know if they are ready? I'd like to see all three play (assuming they are all healthy, I honestly haven't heard much) significant snaps the rest of the year. NOTHING to lose!

Edmonds was defense? I thought he was an RB. If he is a good LB, play him there! Works for me.

From what I saw Teague was getting plowed off the field yesterday. He’s not quite Richardson as a freshman at tackle. Maybe needs some strength and technique work. Maybe somebody else has reviewed all the plays he was in with a different take and if so chime in.

I'd definitely like to see more Sapp and Rush. Both have burned their redshirt. I'd also like to see Braelen Oliver get a shot, but he only has 2 games left.

What about ILL's freshman DT, #93 ??? He was blowing up our OL all day long .... why can't we recruit that guy??

Or is it yet again a case where we make someone look like a world-beater?

Avery was Illinois top recruit last year - a 4* DT out of Dallas. Not sure why he chose Illinois, but that was a great pickup.

Gotcha. Uh yeah, that guy was a friggin' war daddy out there, swinging a giant spiked mace in the middle of the battle field.

Good for Lovie, that kind of talent isn't something you get every day. Would expect that at a Michigan or Ohio St program.
