For those that are interested in this type of thing - the Gophers will be in Maroon Jersey / White pants tomorrow vs PSU.
 

1) Why change what's workin' (gold pants)
2) Why go with white??
 

I slipped an equipment guy a "Washington" to get rid of the white pants! WTF! Bad look with the colored top.

As I've said many times, the white pants shouldn't exist. What a terrible decision if true - and for such a key game nonetheless.

The 1960-61 Gophers had white pants with a maroon stripe down the side. It's an omen boys.
 


That's right ruppert and I''m all for it........We do have better looks IMO but when I heard that they were wearing white pants it reminded me of '60. White helmets then though. right?

The pants had a gold stripe too and matched the helmets.

I just want to win this game. Heading out in a few...Go Gophers!
 

I'm betting the white pants got the call to both utilize a different combo and pick up the white in the flag helmet logo. I was hoping for gold jerseys with maroon pants, but as long as we win, whatever uniform it is will look great.
 




Would look better with white helmets, a nod to the 60's uniform. Without the white helmets, meh.
 

Tim Gunn says who cares what color you where just win. Oregon week in and week out have the worst jerseys in football history and the players don't seem to mind. Granted Nike probably left some hundreds in the pants for each kid not to care they are dressed like clowns.
 

The Golden Gophers should never wear white at home for chrissakes. Or anywhere else for that matter. The maroon tops/gold pants combo is by far the best looking one they have.
 

Considering the opponent wears all white, going with white pants doesn't make a lot of sense this week but whatever. Agree with most in this thread that the only time the white pants should make an appearance is as part of the all white road uniform. Other than that put those things in storage and go with Maroon or Gold.
 

Good lord people. Get over it. I could care less what they wear as long as the game is enjoyable. I'm pretty sure uniform combination is not going to affect my enjoyment level at the game today. Wow.

It's all some pre-game idle chatter to pass the time away. Not for me, as I do my idle chatter to a cold beer.
