unfortunate situation w/ QB's injuries today, but shortell has regressed last 2 games

he needs to be able to hit a wide open issac frechete in the end zone on that second to last offensive drive. no excuses there. understand he was in and out of the game during the day and that can impact a QB, but he is expected to be able to make those kinds of throws. this game should be in overtime right now at a minimum.

if gray can go next week, i think he should be starting going forward. there might still be opportunities for shortell to be in the game, but he has just really seemed to be struggling with his throws the last 2 weeks.

The running game is significantly better with Gray in the game. If Shortell can't make the throws and the receivers can't make the catch, then it has to be Gray without a doubt.

Gray period. end of story. all game. no shortell unless its in mop up or injury replaced duty. the kid needs to get his head on straight and his emotions in check. he seems like hes riding a roller coaster right now.
