Is it possible that Royce's threat of quitting has pushed UMPD's hand? Let's hope the police chief is a gopher bball fan and wants Royce back for the B10.

Seriously, I think you can drop the act. Posting on the Gopherhole is not a fireable offense I wouldn't think. Though I realize the Strib lays of about 10 people a week. I don't think they'll ever stop having at least 1 Gopher BB beat writer.

I would be shocked if that were the case. I think the UMPD and Maturi have handled this poorly, but letting him back on the team a few hours after he threatens to quit on YouTube would make the U look terrible even if it was coincidental timing.

Far more likely that he told Tubby he was dropping out prior to posting that video and they are simply going to acknowledge he's no longer with the team or in school.

Agreed. They're not going to suddenly let him play because he throws a YouTube fit.

I don't have a problem with it either, and if maitaining a level of 'deniability' by not acknowledging it lets him post 'off the record' things he might otherwise get in trouble for, that's cool. But at least stop complimenting yourself, that's just cheesy.

What are you talking about? Once a tweet is done it's permanent and why would the UMPD make a statement today about something that was turned over the Minneapolis prosecutor yesterday?

Exactly. I think Brew's tweet about Reusse being a fatass was deleted quickly. I'm not sure why as its definitely true.

also if hes going to do something, it is only like 12 hours after the fact, perhaps hes still sleeping?

Yes. Thank you. The post above that mentioned updating a tweet. I strung those two together and gave the wrong thought to the wrong post. I have a twitter account. You can't edit, but can delete.

I'm not sure why I'm bothering to defend myself. It's getting on my nerves. I think I'll take someone else's advice and put several people on ignore.
