Andre H emerging as a star and Ralph not playing... any relevance to Gophers playing pretty darn good ball????

Add two: Rodney becoming more physical & gaining confidence; and Elliott playing more. That turns the Gophers from a slow, non-physical team to one with a lot of aggressiveness and passion.

Perhaps Ralph finally bringing aggression to his final ~5-6 games sparked the rest of the team; that may be part of it too, even with him on the bench.

I think not playing with a "post scorer" as really allowed the offense to be much more free-flowing. The obligatory dump downs to Ralph slowed the game down and seemed to make players be more stagnant in their movement. These kids do so much better in an up-tempo offense that utilizes quick ball movement.

+1000000 this is what I'm afraid of if Trevor comes back.

We can play this lineup with Trevor instead of Ingram/Oto. I don't think that would be an issue.

If Trevor is ok with creating offense off of offensive rebounds. I just don't think with a guy in the post someone like Rodney will be the same player.

I understand the concern about slowing down the offense, but look at what having a low post defender, rebounder on both ends and a guy who invites contact and gets to the line can add to a team that has developed an outside game (Holins x 2 and Welch) and a point guard who can break down defenses. Think about the conceivable options: Trevor, EE and Walker down low with Rodney on the sky attack. This kind of depth is why this is a team to be reckoned with next year. Go Gophers.

Trevor is a definite threat to score, so his defender cannot simply leave him if he clears to the other side of the lane for Rodney. And if his defender leaves him, then Rodney will have to have someone wide open to pass the ball to. We have shooters, again, finally - particularly Dre, Welch, Austin, that driving and dishing will be very effective.
