First off, kudos to Gray and the offense for ZERO turnovers today. I said at the beginning of the year that if Q just doesn't turn the ball over, the Gophers should stay in most of their games. Nice to see a ZERO in that column today.

Secondly, to the best of my knowledge, the Gophers have gone through three games without a significant injury (knock on wood). After the last couple of years, that's a major bonus.

Here's hoping they roll through NDSU next week AND stay healthy heading into conference play!!!

Good points. I'm not sure the offense is clicking yet but Gray is definitely improving. The turnover battle is huge for a team expected to struggle.

What about the true freshman Michael Amaefula with the first sack of the season!

I like the fact that we didn't have any turnovers as well. However, I watched the replay of the game when I got home. Actually I just fast forwarded it to the last five minutes. Gray almost made a disaster of a play when it was fourth down and he was getting sacked. He just threw the ball up and could easily had been intercepted. I'm sure he will get talked to about that. A good lesson learned and luckily nothing bad actually came of it.

Gray is taking better care of the ball. Still, I get nervous when he starts taking hits, stays upright and struggles for the extra yard. On one replay I noticed the ball was not very secure and was suprised that a Miami defended didn't rip it free.

The guys have to make plays. We did not do that well enough against NMS and blew a couple of TD's. Same with the QB scramble that resulted in an easy TD yesterday. And get solid ST play which is often over looked.
