"@MNGopherHoops: The win over Indiana is the 6th win for the #Gophers over a top-10 team in the Tubby Smith era."

Go Gophers!!

He hasn't had a problem getting quality wins. The problem is the quantity isn't where it needs to be. Until that changes, then the quality is not going to be nearly as fruitful.

Quality wins are only valuable in as much as they get us into the tournament and a higher tournament seed. Getting a higher tournament seed is valuable only in as much as they make it easier to win games in the tournament. That said, congrats on a big win and hopefully this is a season changing win which gets us back in the tourney discussion.

This was huge though. With where the mood of this program was heading this was big, big, big. Sounds crazy to say it's big at 1-4 but it is.
If they can carry through this momentum to PSU and win there, then we have something interesting on our hands when they get back to the Barn.

Oh no, completely agree, no doubt this was an absolutely huge win. I'm just saying, if we follow it up by, say, losing to PSU or finishing 6-12 in conference play anyway, this win won't resonate a whole lot.

Now if this win parlays itself into a 10-8 B1G season, then there probably aren't enough words to describe just how important this win will end up being for the sake of this program and its future.

First true road win vs Top 10 for the Gophers since 1981.

That's a long time

Can somebody post a list of the top 10 teams he's beat at the U?

Not entirely sure, but think they are Purdue (twice), Butler, Indiana, Louisville and North Carolina. Perhaps Sparty at 2010 Big Ten Tournament?

Common theme? All but one of those were played away from Williams Arena. Now we need to start getting some big-time scalps at The Barn, too.
