What is going on with your late game strategy? Or should I say lack of one?

I like Cobb, not sure though if he the kind of freshman who should have been in a game like this one that late, then attempting that steal and getting a foul. Though not Cobb's fault how close it got.

Looked more like Illinois caught fire and the Gophers got a little lazy.

How about...Striped shirts WTF? We have a guy with the ball, thrown to the floor, and called for travelling? Give me a break, the Zebras equalized this baby.

The Illini were playing like their lives depended on it the last 6 minutes. We were playing safe and scared. We are lucky to have held on. It's too bad it had to end up so close considering we dominated for 80% of the game.

Lazy is a good explanation, but also the sudden 3 point touch, sometimes it just happens. One 3 was way outside the line where you are not going to defend it.

I wasn't complaining about the refs much today like some on here. But the Hoff travel was ridiculous. And how was the Westbrook travel a travel? He was still dribbling as was standing, so WTF was that?

I thought he fell on his own and stopped the dribble for a split second-then tried to get up while getting the dribble going again. That was my take, but it all happen so fast. Either way, the falling down part was due to going too fast imo.

I thought the ref's were as bad as usual but not in a game changing way, so I'm with you on that.

Yea, I can't understand why Tubby is calling for the other team's players to hit wide open 3's!!

It seems to be more execution and poise rather than poor coaching, get real.

Under five minutes the Gophers seem to be playing more tentative and are letting the clock run down to only a few seconds. We end up with Joseph or Westbrook trying to create on their own about 25 feet from the hoop way to often. They sure look as though they are playing to lose and not to win. Not sure if this is on Tubby or the players. Either way it's getting very frustrating to watch.

Yeah, I agree. That being said, I gotta state the obvious; so glad they hung on and won!

The Hoff TO, the Westbrook TO and the Joseph 5 second call were absolutely stupid. That combined with the suddenly hot 3-point shooting of Illinois made it a close game.

I watched it back about 3 times, and the thing is that when he went down, his back was to the bench. That is the side of the floor the ref was that called it. It should not have been a call, and the ref that was on the correct side of the floor, looking right at him dribbling, didn't even blink.

Look at the 3 pt % of opposing teams since Nolen went out. It's embarrassing. Joseph, LW and Hoff are poor perimeter defenders.

This isn't true. MN's opponents have a worse 3 pt fg percentage since Nolen went out.
