Tubby to start all four seniors, Rodney hopes IU win helps recruiting

Hope Mav has a great game at the 1 and Dre drills 3's all night long

This season has been a roller coaster, who wants who to play next, or not to play. I've read enough to know inconsistency has been consistent. I wish I could watch a practice to see who is working hard, day in and day out. I would play those kids.

I'd like to see what Welch could do with some extended minutes. He was one of our primary guard options last year, I think he got about 27 minutes a game, and going into this season I expected him to be a major contributor. That's cool that Tubby's gonna start all the seniors though.

About Welch getting more minutes... I'd give that one a negative. He hasn't shown anything all season, and it's not time to start experimenting at a long shot now.

And regarding the seniors starting. I agree, that's pretty neat.

One of my favorite things in college basketball is when UNC starts all the walk on seniors and brings all the starters off the bench. Good to see Tubby starting the seniors.

All Welch/Mav have to do is not turn the ball over and hit a 3 when asked.

That's it.

My freshman year at KU, the Jayhawks were loaded and they had a six man senior class, all of whom contributed throughout the season. Roy (in part showmanship, and in part to honor the seniors) sent six guys out to jump the ball. When the Ref instructed one of them to get off the court, Roy refused and took a technical for six men on the court and that is how the game started. The AFH crowd went nuts, I thought it was over the top and actually Roy making it about himself as much as anything, but it was memorable.

Go Gophers!!
