Tubby is at the Indiana state tournament

FTB

Where did you pick up that interesting tidbit?

I like to hear about Tubby "working".

:)

Twitter, the source of everything everywhere. Apparently he is chatting it up with Tom Crean.

Now that cracks me up! Tubby tweeting with Crean ! Whataworld !

:D

More like a bunch of people tweeting LIKEOMGTUBBYSMITHINDIANALOL etc.

Actually, a bunch of journalists commenting on the plethora of coaches at the game. Is Zeller still available? That is my best guess as to why he is there.

Cody Zeller seems like kind of a stretch for Tubby at this point. Scout says he has offers from Butler, Indiana, and Purdue among others but we are not listed.

There is a lot of 2011 (and younger) talent in Indiana.. the 3A championship game going on right now is Washington (Cody Zeller) vs. Gary / Lew Wallace (Branden Dawson).

Gophers (as well as Marquette and a million other schools) would love Dawson.. he is a top guy in the 2011. Big time talent.

PS- I'm watching the game and you can too - it's tied at 32 in the third.

IHSAA webcast, you must sign up

Wow... Washington 65, Wallace 62, Overtime Final. Wallace's coach is not pleased with a late charge call on Dawson...

Cody Zeller is the player of the game.. 20 points, ** 26 rebounds **.

Dawson had some great moments.. by my own count and probably slightly off, 22 points, 10 boards... some of Wallace's guys reportedly missed curfew last night... four regular starters, including Dawson, started the game on the bench... Dawson went out with 5:25 left in the fourth quarter after rolling his ankle.. they were down 50-49 at that point.. a couple minutes later he was back, Washington then up 54-51... game went to overtime at 56 all...

Both Zeller and Dawson are going to be impact players in college.

Indiana is loaded with top talent. And by loaded I mean if they all went to one school(preferably to Purdue) they would be in the Final Four EVERY YEAR. Off the top of my head in the 4 state championship games today there was

DeJuan Morreno - 2012 - SF - Gary Bowman Academy - High major prospect. By the end he should have offers from all the B10 plus. Purdue already has 3 2012 commits so I don't see him coming here.

Branden Dawson -2011 - SF - Gary Lew Wallace - ELITE prospect. Offers from everywhere. Purdue is after him HARD. For Painter and Co. he proirity 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 2C, well you get the idea. Tubby if you read this board please leave him alone so he comes here.

Nic Moore-2011 - PG - Warsaw - Xaiver type prospect - Has everything you want in PG prospect except he is a little short. Painter recuited him a little bit it really never went any where because of height. Could very easily end up in the B10. Worth noting that the Plumlee boys who play for Duke as well as their little brother are from Warsaw but because of politics and favorites with in the program the Plumlee's parents sent the kids to boarding school in North Carolina.

Terone Johnson - 2010 - Combo Guard - Indy North Central Purdue commit - Purdue has 4 prospects coming in next year 2 combo guards 2 bigs. All top 150 type talent. On Gold and Black(Purdue's Rivals board) easily the one people are most exicted about.

Kevin "Yogi" Ferral - 2012 - PG - Park Tudor(Indy, I think) - A while back he was ranked as the number 1 prospect as a 8th graded. Painter offered but another PG prospect for 2012 commited before he did.

D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera - 2012 - Combo Guard - Indy North Central - DSR is a great prospect pretty much will go where he wants. I think he offers from everybody. Not likely to end up at Purdue because of reported clashes between him and Terone Johnson

Cody Zeller - Washington - 2012 - Big 4 or 5 - His older brother Luke plays at Notre Dame and other brother Tyler plays for UNC. B10 prospect, not likely to end up at a blue blood unless UNC offers due to the brother connection.

And those are only the big time prospects in the state finals my guess is that there are 10-15 more high major prospects in the state right now. So pretty much the state is loaded with talent.
