Kill brought up the bowl game today in his presser. You could really see how proud he was of the way the team played in that game, even in a loss. That was when we were at our healthiest. I'm really looking forward to year three. Competition at all positions should be fierce this spring and fall.

I caught that too. Even though we lost, we played a physical, emotional, and usually intelligent game. The kind of fun game a recruit would look at and say they wanted to be a part of joining.

I guess that I'm not as impressed with the TT loss as some. There was a point in the 4th quarter where we had the ball and it was 3rd and about 1 1/2 for the first down. If we make that first down and maybe one more, we win. At that moment I turned to my buddy and said, "I have followed this team since 1972, in many similar situations (where if the O could make a couple more first downs, we win), we get stuffed every time." Sure enough Williams gets stuffed, we have to punt and you know the rest of the story. I will always be a Gopher fan, but until we can control the ball offensively at key points (late in close games), I will remain unconvinced that we are making large strides. I hope that Kill has the magic.

He also siad on KFAN that we got 3 or 4 kids we wouldnt have had a chance at if not for the TT game. I thought that showed the power of TV.
