I think the only true FR to play was Karmo and he looked good. He was a true freshman who fit in out there. He moves really well for a LBer.

The RS FR / True SO group is special - Roy, Johnson, Perich, Smith, and Lindsey are probably some of our best players.
 

Karmo is so fast coming off the edge. I thought Naiim Parrish would get some run with guys out, but I didn't notice him.

Karmo has to be on the field. He for us, is too fast, and too good to be on the sideline. He will make mistakes but #2 is talented and his gonna be a good one.

Is B Martino injured ? He was in street clothes and a jersey. I thought we would see him get some targets in the passing game starting game 1 with his skills.

It took me a moment to realize it was Karmo out there because he looked like a 22 year old upper classmen.

He has been out for most of camp and was on the injury report put out before the game too.
 


Of course because I know more than PJ and the coaching staff I was already kvetching to my son last night that Karmo needs more playing time—he has that “twitch” speed. We have serious athletes at every level on defense.
