Why did Tubby only play him 5 minutes in the first half?
He forget to check with GopherHole strategists?
Or maybe Ralph Sampson was playing well with Colt Iverson?

Trevor looks like an old school 4. Kind of reminded me of Charles Oakley. I think if there's one candidate to declare early for the draft, it would be Trevor. He's not 6'10, but he's big, strong, and he can move. It's going to be painful to be a Marquette fan watching what he can do this year.
Trevor reminds me of countless nameless guys at Michigan State over the years who always appeared limited from an offensive standpoint, but were monsters on the boards and could be counted on for boatloads of rebounds and a lot of garbage points. He will definitely get his points this year based on raw strength and quickness. His skill set has been the missing link for at least three years on this team.
For the most part, I didn't think those two played particularly well together tonight. Ralph was scoring, but much of it was because he was being left open outside. He had a couple of stuffs (one on a really nice feed from Nolen) but took the ball up weakly inside. Colton wasn't that impressive either considering he had about 6 inches on everyone. Did some nice things but bobbled a couple and was short on some shots inside.
Trevor looked much better than either one. I was skeptical about how much of a difference he would make, but I'm a believer now. He's just so athletic and looked more like a Big Ten force than either of the other two. That said it's only one game and I'm certainly glad we have all three.
It just sounds like he should be getting more than 5 minutes a half, I was wondering if he picked up some early fouls or something. I wonder if Mo's playing time is going to disappear once we hit Big Ten play. Ralph, Colt, and Trevor should get all of the available PF and C minutes.
Maybe so but I'd guess the Gophers would be happy with 28 points and 22 rebounds (together) most games from the Twin Towers.
I'd think those 3 get the lion's share of 4 and 5 minutes. Mo will play 5-10 minutes (more if foul trouble for the others) most games.
Did you watch the game? The box score was impressive but there is definitely room for improvement from those two.
Ralph had a lot of points but they were mostly from outside shots. It was nice to see him hit a few of these looks but for every make he had an ugly miss (had some 12+ ft looks that barely reached the front of the rim). He and didn't go up strong in the post once even though 6'6" guys were guarding him.
Same can be said for Colton. His post game is a little bit better than Ralph's but he still needs to be taught how to properly execute a drop step. This is something any 6'10" guy with Colton's build should be able to dominate 6'6" guys with over and over.
These are things you can't glean from the box score.
I really disagree with the people that feel Colt's post-game is better than Ralph's. I'm much more comfortable with Ralph when he gets the ball down low. At least he can find an open teammate and make a pass. Colt's hands are about as bad as I've ever seen. I like him on defense, but I don't understand people's claim about his improved offensive play. I also hate how he doesn't grab rebounds but just bats it to the other team.

Sorry I was flying back from Las Vegas last night. Didn't see it.
Well, don't let that stop you from enlightening us on what we saw.
Gophers got 42 points and 32 rebounds from RSIII, Colt, and Trevor. I'd think they'd take that most games from those 3 players.
Nobody is saying they wouldn't be. It's been merely pointed out that our big men still have a lot of things to work on.
Honest to God, sometimes you're like a guy who crashes a party and then proceeds to tell the host what was wrong with the food and drinks.
