The United States under-22 basketball team will have three Miami Dade College players on its roster when it competes April 9-13 at the FIBA World Championships in Douai, France.
Sophomores Enrico Pickett, Trevor Mbakwe and William Coleman were selected to U.S. team.
Mbakwe, a first-team All State selection, has signed with the University of Minnesota; Coleman, ranked in the top five in the nation in average blocks (4.1), has committed to Memphis; and Pickett, a transfer to Miami Dade College from the University of Alabama, said he has drawn interest from several Atlantic Coast Conference and Southeastern Conference programs.
The FIBA event is sanctioned by USA Basketball.
