Talks about how Brewster ran an NFL style program which helped him prepare for the next level. Which is good to hear and I know recruits will love to hear that. But will he make the 53 man roster, should be interesting?

he will get cut within 5 days of the start of training camp. Am I the only one who watched him play live for 2 years make shoulder tackles and get burned 2-3 times every game while staying the most cocky player on the field?

You may want to sit the haterade down. You are gulping it much too fast.

I somewhat agree with Brew recruit. Simmons had 2 or 3 terrific games his first season that carried him to 2nd team BT honors. His stats show 6 INT's but how many TD's did he give up and missed tackles? IMO, he was nothing special and will be surprised if he sticks.

I'll be curious to see how he does. I think he has the cover skills, but I agree that his physical presence against the run was lacking. In the right situation, he could find himself at least on a practice squad. With the NFL becoming so pass-happy and the need for nickel and dime packages on defense, Simmons may be able to parlay his cover skills into a pro job. No question he has to improve on his tackling though.

Contrary to some, Tray has a very good chance to stick in the NFL. I predict he will be put on a practice roster...at worst. His biggest issue will be convincing a GM to keep a guys around who the team has no money invested in versus a draft choice or vet.

Tray's issue last season was two-fold. 1st, because of limitations at other positions the team needed him to play zone defense. Zone is not Tray's cup of tea, he was not very good at it. Tray excels in man to man which is where most corners are weak at. 2nd, Collado and Carter excelled at zone defense, which is what was needed from the secondary last season. Show me a corner who is not cocky and I will show you a guy who USED to play corner.

you need to stop drinking the koolaid and look at this burnout with both with both eyes open.

Actually, I quit drinking all together. No offense; everyone has an opinion. SF24 seems to provide good insight on this young man and I can see where he is coming from.

However, please note that some guys have been cut already. Tray must have some skills the Chargers consider to be of some use.

Stargenes has a point, if the Chargers had no intention of keeping him, why is he still around? But I'm sure Brew_recruit has an extensive NFL background so he probably knows better.

I'm happy for Traye, very friendly guy who loved being a Gopher. Hope he makes it.

They probably love the way he celebrates and taunts after making a tackle on a 20 yard gain. That's very NFL-like...

Traye's cover skills are legit. His tackling is lacking but when you don't let your man catch the ball you don't need to tackle anybody. Deion Sanders made a helluva career not tackling people. The Zone scheme made Traye look bad, he is definitely a man coverage player.

Agree with SF24. When we asked BPT to lock down a receiver he was maybe te best in the B10 2 years ago. When it came to zone he looked like he had no experience in it and got lost at times

I think he also maybe seemed bored and lost some of the cockiness which made him good when he was not challenged to lock down a man.
