Obvious point... the transfer portal has become more important. More and more, coaches win through the transfer portal instead of prospects, veterans that contribute now.
The reason I mention this is --> what the Gophers have returning next 2025 season on the roster is not the team we will see. Every season is a reshuffle and rebuild.
Gophers did a good job this offseason for the transfer portal, we think. We still need to see the results.
The North Carolina game stinks because Gophers won that. There should have been a dividend paid. ("Board" not happy with CEO Fleck for that lost dividend.)
Recruiting is important, especially local, but more and more coaches can win now with the portal.
