Some statistical notes since Friday:

-Yikes again...well, we have our answer to whether folks would be willing to select single seats, and the answer was a resounding NO. Only 13 seats came off the board today. Now, a few more were selected, but as some people mentioned earlier in the day, there were a few seats that were re-released to the public, causing a few sections to actually GAIN seats from yesterday. In the end, though, anyone hoping for the single seats to just disappear were wrong, at least for today.

-As you can see above, the premium seating has all but come to a halt. Only one seat was actually selected out of the premium seating today (from the $250 section), but a seat also re-appeared, causing there to be no gain from night to tonight. Someone didn't pay their bill...tsk, tsk.

-The number of seats selected today has dropped pretty dramatically as the days have gone on. Here are the number of seats selected in the last few days:

-Wednesday: 504
-Thursday: 464
-Friday: 321
-Monday: 170
-Tuesday: 10
-Wednesday: 13

-There were a few seats more selected today than yesterday, but again, the seat selection has pretty much come to a halt. Again, all seats are singles, which is causing some of this.

-This begs the question: How willing would YOU be to select a single seat, not knowing who you'd be sitting by during the game, even in a new stadium? Having done it in the past, I would, and I would assume most of the GH collective would as well, but it's a question that begs an answer, nonetheless. Or, a more pointed question: What's more important to you, going to Gopher football, or sitting with your friends??

-Due to the fact that this has pretty much slowed to a complete halt, I'm going to update this only once every couple of days now, since there isn't much new to talk about. Sometime during the weekend, maybe Saturday, will be the next update, barring the announcement that they have concluded seat selection.

I picked one of the hanging singles yesterday. I get the impression they have opened the flood gates to the entire wait list now. I only got on the wait list for a single seat back in Mid May and I was waaaaaay down the waiting list but I got an email yesterday afternoon I could select.

I think it is pretty clear people don't want to break up their seats if it is their primary location or they only have two seats to pick, etc. etc.

I've got four in 133 and now a single in 114.

me too - picked up two hanging singles

hopefully they can pair them up in the near future

There appear to be two seats in Sec. 211, Row 10

If someone is looking for $500 contribution seats, I would think the ticket office could move those together.

I look at it this way, if there was a movie me and my buddies were dying to see, but couldn't sit together, would we still go see the movie? Absolutely. Gives you more to talk about in the car on the way home.

Anybody else wonder why the lower deck, in particular, is fairly "flat"? I'm wishing it could have been steeper, to get everyone closer to the field. Do you suppose it had to do with the older ticket holders not liking going up steep stairs?

This is my only gripe with the stadium. I'm thrilled, all in all.

I think it looks flatter in the pics than it actually is. My understanding is they designed it to maximize the amount of sound that stays in the stadium.

The U is also selling single seats that are obstructed view seats due to the railings. I don't think these options show up when you select your seats using the website. You need to call the U. Seats that are one row behind the other may be available if you don't mind a railing blocking part of your view.

And yes, if you apply for season tickets now, you will be allowed to select seats nearly right away since so many on the waiting list have passed on single seat options.

Oh, and by the way... when I ordered my single, the gal at the ticket office said she was under the impression that the Ballena site (the one we have all been looking at to view the ticket selections) was going to be coming down shortly. If she was correct, the days of monitoring the seat selections may soon be over.

I just called the ticket office and they told me I cannot get on the waitlist to get some of those singles sitting out there. They put me on a new list that they started a couple of days ago, it doesn't cost anything and they said they would contact me after the wait-listers all get released early next week? I just wanted one single in my section so who knows.

I called yesterday at 1000am to get on the waiting list so that I could pick up a single seat near my regular seats. They called me at 300pm yesterday and offered me the seat. I think people get different stories depending on who they talk to at the Ticket Office.

i got lucky. one of the singles was right next to my group of seats and my buddy who was on the wait list got it.

Keep calling. Any information from calling the ticket office HAS to be taken with a grain of salt. I wish I could have a dollar for every time I have been told something from the ticket office that turned out to be 180 degrees from the actual correct direction.

I had one experience go so strangely a couple years ago, they became so mixed up that they actually sent me two completely different sets of 4 season tickets, billed me for only one set, and NEVER figured it out. I tried to be a good guy about it but when I called back to tell them about the mistake and let them know that I was having to jump through waaaaay too many hoops to just get my tickets where I wanted them (a spot that had room, no less), they got even more confused. I asked to speak with a manager and was told "no"! I tried on a second call and said I had been denied the opportunity to talk to a manager... and was told NO again! I was told they were too busy and the manager would call me back within a "few days." I never got the call back so I said "F - THAT" and kept the extra tickets.

As of 10 minutes ago...213 seats left.

Premium Seats:
8 - $100
20 - $250
13 - $500

That's $70,875 in potential annual revenue waiting out there.
