Top 10 most disappointing teams of the season

Can see how to the media we are missed because we weren't ranked to start the season and we don't really have a terrible loss yet. 4 of 5 losses to ranked-ish teams. To Gopher fans I can see how we probably should be mentioned in this article because I think all of our expectations were a lot higher.

Four of our five losses came against ranked (either currently or previously) teams. All from basketball power conferences as well. Yeah....we've certainly under-performed......but we also don't have any lofty expectations, preseason hype, or terrible head scratching losses.

Purdue? (scratches head) A team that lost to North Florida and Gardner-Webb and that we were beating by 11 points in the second half before we collapsed. To me, that is a head scratcher.

Look at the losses that other teams on tht list had. Actual head scratchers against teams like Incarnate Word. Purdue is a Big Ten team and can beat other good teams. That's not a major head scratcher.....especially since we played them on their court......where we have traditionally played terribly.

Yes, and also the same Purdue that was within 4 points of Wisconsin at Madison until the last couple minutes of the game. Virginia with Ralph Sampson (not our Ralph Sampson!) was the #1 team in the country when they lost of Chaminade in a holiday tournament. These things happen early in the season.

I am more surprised Myron put out an article like this & didn't take another opportunity to rip our squad. Seems he is disparaging our team every opportunity he gets.

I think the Purdue loss was a disappointment, but the season as a whole can't be seen as one of the Top Ten most disappointing seasons in the country, NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!

We have the Georgia win which is considered a good win, and the Purdue loss, being it was at Purdue, could be an acceptable loss, especially if Purdue keeps winning in conf, at least at home.

UL, St Johns, Maryland and OSU are all acceptable losses at this point. OSU being a home game may end up not being so acceptable if they drop out of the rankings, but we'll just have to wait to see. If we can hang on to win this Road game vs Michigan, that will be the first step towards salvaging this season. We could need to win 8 in a row(or go 7-1 at least), starting with this Michigan road game, before the scedule gets really tough again.
