6. Minnesota. This has been an underrated unit in recent years. But there is work to do this year with cornerbacks Michael Carter and Troy Stoudermire departed. Standout junior Derrick Wells has shifted from safety to cornerback, his original position. Look for seniors Jeremy Baltazar or Martez Shabazz at the other corner slot. Minnesota was able to move Wells because of depth at safety, with players like senior Brock Vereen, junior Cedric Thompson and sophomore Damarius Travis.

Go Gophers!!

Pretty sure both Baltazar and Shabazz were behind Murray and Boddy on the depth chart this spring, weren't they?

We should be good at safety. Thompson can hit and I thought Vereen did a great job after moving inside. Seems better suited to have the game "in front" of him. Outside will the question. Lots of candidates and an aggressive pass rush can cover some deficiencies, so I'm ready to see what the guys have to offer.

It's nice to see us at 6, instead of 9 or 10 like usual.

i dont see how our D-line is 9 while our secondary is 6, if our secondary is 6 then our D-line should be 4th and O-line 6 as well, i wouldnt say our secondary is that much better then our O-line which isnt better then our D-line which dienhart thinks

Pretty sure Shabazz is not behind both of them.
