Mr Bragg of the the Charleston Gazette Mail (WV) was the AP poll voter who put the Gophers highest, at #7. Baton Rouge guy, Boston Globe, and Durham, NC voter had Gophs at #8.

Nathan Baird of the Cleveland Plain Dealer had Gophs at #16, lowest along with Mark Whicker of the LA Daily News. The Fresno State writer, Jon Wilner, had Gophs at 15. The Madison writer, Polzin, had Gophs at 14.

All others were between 9-13. 13 had us at 9. Quad City guy and Lansing, MI voter among 8 who had us at 13. Greder put Gophs 11. Greder put Bucky 8, PSU 13, Iowa 14.

Umm, no.

It's funny that many complain about the local media being so Vikings biased and focused, but also don't like DB and Common...who routinely jab that same Vikings team for its futility.

Never quite understood all the angst with sports media figures in this town. Sort of like going into a restaurant, seeing the Bacon Mushroom Swiss Burger on the menu, ordering it, eating it. Then complaining to the waiter that it sucks because I am a vegetarian and I don't like Bacon Mushroom Swiss burgers. Well, then don't order that. In this instance, don't turn on KFAN, or WCCO, or the Star Tribune or whatever. You know the choices on the menu. If nobody orders these choices, they disappear from the menu!
