I don't recall seeing a HC as dis-interested in the game as Bozeman appeared tonight throughout the entire game. There was a timeout in the first half where his team was standing right by the cheerleaders at center court for a good 45 seconds while the timeout was still going on, Tubby still had our guys in the huddle and Bozeman was off chatting with an assistant not by his team at all. Then a bit later in the first half there was a blatant Gopher travel right in front of him that wasn't called and he had no reaction. Maybe he's just a laid back coach, but there wasn't much outward emotion out of him tonight.

It was good to see Harmon Killebrew enjoying himself behind the Gopher bench!

Go Gophers!!

It was weird, what happened with that technical? Was it on Bozeman or the bench? After it happened, he stood there motionless for what seemed like minutes. I thought for a minute that he was going to have a breakdown and wander off into the stands like that guy from Northwestern did.

I don't know where else to put this, so I'll mention here that Quincy Lewis was at the game as well.

Bozeman

I was not at the game tonight, but driving home through the snow they talked about Bozeman on WCCO and said exactly what you observed, that he was slumped over and seemed disinterested. They said after Bozeman got in trouble at Cal, Tubby became a mentor for him and that Bozeman regards him very highly. I guess the charitable explanation is that Bozeman was probably extremely disappointed with how his team choked coming out of the gate in his game against Tubby and the attitude he displayed was probably a product of that disappointment.

He was really into the game at the beginning. He was basically freaking out at his players. Then he got the technical and from that point on he sat at the end of the bench looking like he was waiting for his number to be called at the DMV.

Harmon's a great guy. I was lucky enough to meet and chat with him for about 30 minutes several years ago. He was so down to earth, and loved talking about the Twins and baseball.
