Oklahoma is playing Clemson now in the "Russell Athletic Bowl". That's the other bowl to be played in the Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium this week. Looks like a good crowd. Bodes well for Thursday correct?

Crowd does look good. And, the renovations while watching an actual game look good as well.

One of the announcers, who said the last time he was in the stadium was 2004, said the same thing. The stadium must have fallen well behind in maintenance before the renovation started.

Heard that also. It's always tough to judge the renovations until there are actually fans in the stands with some of these little used/seen bowl venues. But, it looks good!

Our group flys out tomorrow morning from MSP to Orlando! Can't wait!

Clemson is making Oklahoma look like a high school team.

Clemson is on the east side of the field facing the camera, which is where Missouri will be. Oklahoma is on the west side, where Minnesota team will be, on the same side as the main cameras.

I usually pay attention to the seating details of the bowl games, and the Clemson (and Missouri) band is siting in the SE corner, sections 115,117, to the right of the Clemson sideline, which means the Oklahoma (and Minnesota) band is probably in the NW corner in or around section 141 to the left of the OK sideline, mainly out of site of the main camera, although I can certainly hear them.

I saw the section I will be in one of the corners during a play, and it looked fairly full.

I think this field used to be grass, and looked rough during many of the wet SEC/Big Ten games in recent years, but I now see they have field turf.

The game tonight is an example of a Bowl game where one team is excited to be there and the second team is mailing it in.

Oklahoma has to be in the running for dumpster fire of the year. They thought they were a playoff team after crushing Tennessee and will now finish 6-5 against legitimate teams and 4-5 in their last 9 games. I can't even remember a comparable implosion from a "playoff contender."

In my opinion, they take all three spots on the podium for that award.

The last Citrus Bowl with a grass field was the one between Penn State and LSU. It had been a wet week in Florida, and the game was played in mud that seemed like it was six inches deep. Field Turf was installed the next year.

WESH 2 TV reported today that 90% of renovations are done as of today. That was surprising because when I was down here 28 days ago, the same report was given.

Texas still has an opportunity tonight to remind the world what a complete waste of 4-star talent their program is.

I do think it significantly hurt both TCU and Baylor's playoff chances when Oklahoma went down the toilet as season progressed. TCU got credit for a win against the #4 ranked Sooners, (OU was #15 when they played Baylor). Doubt that the Sooners could make the top 30 right now, might even be closer to 40.

Oklahoma and Texas can't continue be this horrible if people want to continue to pretend the BigXII is still a "power" conference.

The Sooners make a good case but the sanctimonious f'ing 'lil elves may take the top spot after LSU bitch slaps them big time tomorrow.
