That seem to think the Gophs were competing for a conference championship spot this year, shut up. At no point should you have thought they would win more than 3 or 4 games. Most preseason predictions had us winning 0 or 1 game this year. I figured we'd win 3, and we likely will. But some of you have unrealistic expectations for a team that is using its 5th offensive and 4th defensive scheme in 5 years with a whole new coaching staff and barely any talent. We're not a top tier team, we're not just going to win games and be in bowl games every year after what Brewster did to this program. He completely ruined the program and it's going to be a couple years before we're respectable again, get used to it.

Sounds like a North Dakota attitude. "We're a craptastic state so we might as well make the best of it." How about asking a coaching staff to come in and freaking tell kids how to lineup. How to run a zone coverage. How to tackle and not give up on a play. How to actually play hard once in their freaking lives. Brew definately detroyed the program, but not any idiot is going to get us back to a bowl game.

Where do you see 2 more wins? Just like Brew's first year we are stuck at 1. Should never lose to NDSU, never.

I say that because that's how everyone acts on this site. We're a terrible program, people have to realize that. Kill said our program was a complete mess and that the talent was far worse than his NIU team last year. Most people expected us to be in a bowl game this year which never should have been a thought.

Purdue and someone else. If we lose to Purdue then it's a one win season more than likely. This team isn't completely terrible, just VERY inconsistent

Good attitude. Your Badgers t-shirt is being express mailed to you

I couldn't disagree with the original poster more. This team has both more talent and more experience than last years team yet it is playing worse football. I guess Jeff Horton is some sort of evil genius football mind and he should have got the job permanently.

I wouldn't necessarily say more experience for this team. We have A LOT of young guys in the lineup. Jeff Horton must have been some sort of evil genius football mind. He did in a half a season what brewster couldn't do in 3 1/2. Win a rivalry game. I personally liked what Horton did with the team last year and was hoping he would be a candidate but I don't even know if they considered it.

I've officially gone from bandwagon member of kill going into game one. To just kinda wait and see after game two.

Its game four and I am now at skeptical.

It's not that we have lost, it's how we have lost.

We have had the worse game plan in all 4 games.
The guys have not come ready to play in 3/4 games.
There is still poor effort by players on many plays.
They are not calling a game offensively to their players strengths at all.

Hopefully that stuff changes.
I was pessimistic about the hire when I heard the name. I let him talk to me a bit. I now am at the same level of positivity I was on the night of the hire. Hopefully maturi isn't the ad in 5 years.

No one thought this though? There's no sense overreacting but I think most of us are surprised by losses to NDSU and NMSU.

I just had the worst case of déjà vu.

The things that are most disconcerting are lack of improvement in 3rd and long down and distance situations where even when they blitz they get no pressure.
Flat footed DB's that get caught reacting to the play instead of attacking and making a play, not just a CB but a couple of the Safety's also.
The O-line is large but doesn't play physical. We cannot move anyone off the line of scrimmage. I thought with there shear size they would at least wear on other teams but they
cannot get a hat on anyone. I think Limegrover has stunk out the joint with his playcalling in critical game situations, and the coaching of the O-line.
The D-line is getting worse no matter the combination of players used, not one guy can create pressure one on one, maybe 98 but he is to skinny right now.
Gray continues to want to rely only on himself only and take off and run. He maybe try's one read and then takes off. I now understand what Weber was dealing with all of these years
but it is hard for a QB to make any plays when they get no time or refuse to make a read or even try a pass.
Coach said in his press conference the reason there are no captains is because nobody has stepped up and taken a leadership position. That is disconcerting to hear.
#25 on special teams tonight Wright stepped up and made plays, him #25, Bennett and Tinsley seemed like the only guy's that had passion or intensity for the game and even a couple of them made mistakes. This is tough but when your constantly told you suck it is hard to some time rise above that.
Problems are to numerous to correct in one season, I was over optimistic that these coaches could turn these players into something.
#25 will play his way on the football field, you need that kind of speed to win in the Big 10.
