The U sets the price. The U sets the schedule. You have the choice to purchase or not purchase. No one is holding a gun to your head. The U owes you nothing, aside from hosting and playing the games on the schedule. Your power in the situation is choosing to buy or not buy the tickets. You hold ZERO POWER aside from that choice. Buy, or don't buy. It's up to you. No one here cares. Stop bitching about "devaluing the season tickets". Don't buy if it's that big of a deal to you. Again, no one here cares.

+1 buddy....I'm going to New Mexico...Fiesta!!!

Agreed DP! I will continue to purchase my season ticket so my friends and family can use it even though I get into the games without a ticket.

I consider it a donation to the university and have never had a problem with the administration discounting other tickets or other promotions.

Even though this is my first year of having season tickets, I support the what the program is doing by discounting tickets as the game is near. Would you rather have a noisy full house to enjoy your season tickets with? Or a 85% full stadium?

For what it is worth, Gophersports is now offering offering $20 seats for Purdue and Michigan State and $30 for Michigan.

Okay, nobody can give their opinion about the value of season tickets. Good to know. We'll write that down.

What else should not give our opinion on? Which topics are okay?

I actually got an e-mail that I could buy all three remaining games for $30 bucks, but it was a one-day offer.

He didn't say you couldn't give your opinion; he said nobody cares.

Give your opinion on it. Just enough of the whining like "I'm thinking about not renewing because they cancelled the UNC game, boo-hoo-hoo." Commentary and opinions are welcome and encouraged. Whining and thinking that anyone at all on this board cares whether you are renewing your season tickets is not.

+1! Thank you Dpo! I am really annoyed listen to everyone belly ache about the NC schedule. Many of those same people also claim to only care about B1G Ten wins. (Or lack thereof) This conversation is pointless. You have a choice. You do not have to buy the tickets. Stay home.

You're right. We have one way to tell the U what we think of their product. Buy or don't buy. Myself, I'm leaning don't buy, but that'll be a consensus group decision.

While I don't like the decision to drop the game, I do agree that cancelling tickets or ending donations is going overboard.

But to say "stop bitching about 'devaluing the season tickets'" and "whining and thinking that anyone at all on this board cares whether you are renewing your season tickets is not" is overreaction on the other side.

I come here to get opinions from everyone. Doesn't matter if I agree or not. Everyone is allowed an opinion. Bitching and whining about other people's bitching and whining is strange to say the least.

"No one here cares"? Well obviously people here do care. Just not all.

The worst part about the bitching is the will only affect 1 home game over 2 years. We might even get an additional home game out of it. I've been wondering if we magically got a second bye week and don't have a game tomorrow.

My opinion and commentary is that the University of Minnesota does not set STH prices at market value the way other products available to me would be. If a phone is released and gets horrible review and low sales, the LIST PRICE will soon drop. Over time, if that company, let's say LG, continues to release phones of not so good quality and retails them at the same price as other manufacturers in its class, people would stop buying as "early adopters" as often as they had in the past. LG would need to respond by either 1) increasing the quality of its product or 2) reducing their prices to meet market expectation.

I love Gopher Football. I continue to buy tickets. It is disheartening that the U continues to charge the outrageous amounts of money for parking and seat fees for anything inside the 10 instead, then charging the general public who have not supported them so little later that very season. Next year prices will not go down. For some reason the U thinks the laws of supply and demand don't apply to ONLY their season ticket holder base, which is why it (and attendance) has shown steady decline over the past few seasons (with the exception of the Syracuse game). Simple critique of their stubborn attitude towards price.

OPTIMISM!

I hate to lose fans, but I'd love to move down 4 more rows, so remember we're scared of good teams according to some. I'm also adding 2 more seats; I'm a Kill believer!

For those not renewing, if I can't make a game once Kill takes the program to new heights ('15-'16?), expect to pay over double face for my tickets b/c the demand will be there!
