We're all Gopher fans, are we not? (Except for some of our more recent members who've come over here to either troll, or legitimately wish to spread the good news about the majesty of Ames, Iowa's strip malls). We all want the Gophers to succeed. We all want the best recruits to come here, or stay here. Now, some of us might want these things with a fervor that embarrasses you. Some of us might extol the glories of the Twin Cities and the U using hyperbole and exaggeration. Perhaps we disagree about the merits of the last coaching staff, or the current coaching staff's strategy. But let's pull together, eh? It's the offseason. Let's wait to rip each other apart until after the first game, when we have legitimate bones of contention, such as the relative merits of Elliot and Mo's diets, Charlie Buggs' future as a Kevin Durant clone, and Richard Pitino's susceptibility to offers from Louisville. Until then, let's focus on the things we have in common - love for the U, and contempt for Jim Souhan.

...and contempt for Jim Souhan.

I'm all in.

I honestly have not visited the strib site since his ill informed Kill article, which has been beaten to death. And that's sad, really. There are some writers there that should be read, but I'll only read what gets posted here, within the post, and not click any links.

Other than that, Ski-U-Mah!

+100.

And for Souhan, Archie Bunker never knew he was Archie Bunker.

Let's throw Tom Powers in there too. He needs to crawl back under the rock from which he came.

At least Souhan can turn a phrase. Powers is an embarrassment.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I think Souhan is every single bit as bad at turning a phrase as Tom Powers, and worse, he's the local Rick Reilly, he thinks his tired one-liners are comedy gold. Now REUSSE can turn a phrase. Unfortunately, he's also the laziest writer in history. Basically, we have the sorriest collection of sports columnists in the nation.

Bump. You may find it awkward that some 'holers are upset that at the way Reid handled his business, and hoping Stanford fails. You may find it infuriating to be told to calm down and move on. But let's be honest, we all tend to end up at the same arena, in similar seats, pulling loudly for guys in the same color uniforms. Let's pull together. We had a pretty good crowd against Lehigh, but it could have been better. Let's impress the people who matter, like Jarvis and the other recruits, and let's forget about anybody who doesn't want us as fans. Ski u mah.

Speak for yourselves I like the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Chicago Blackhawks, the New England Patriots, and Duke basketball.

Looking forward to this year, not sure but I think they got 30 points from the 4 position last night, 17 rebounds from the 5, a point guard that can create which has been missing the last few years, and the Hollin's who are looking every bit as good as advertised. May be the start of a rebuilding process but it is going to be some entertaining basketball along the way..

Well it's hard for me to drop the Tubby issue, but for the sake of my Gopher brothers, I will ablidge (sp?).

Wow...if you would have added Troy Larson (guy from grade school that I hated), you would have literally listed my entire sports hate list...with the exception of all things Philadelphia...I hate this **** hole!

Haha yeah that list really does get under people's skin. Good thing I hate all of those teams with a passion.
