The faithful and loyal Gophers fans have been rewarded once again for hanging in there. The last two wins over Iowa have been happily added to the highlights of decades of watching the Gophers for Mrs Bayfield and me. TCF was electric and the place to be as the Gopher fans were loud and totally into the game. Just like last year, we are so happy and proud of the much mailigned Gophers with their hard earned victory.
Coach Kill has encouraged Minnesota people to be patient as has often stated that there is no quick fix. This win may be a premature view of what we can expect down the road. The team and the program needs the full support of fans in order to succeed. Coach Kill has been very vocal about that. In the meantime, the best thing Gopher fans can do is get to the games and cheer for a team that is working their tails off.
For those who stayed home or sold off to the enemy, look what you missed???
