8-4 record, a brief national ranking, playing relevant football in November, a TON of national exposure on the head coach (no such thing as bad publicity, right?), and a bowl win (I have no doubt).

The next 8 weeks are going to be MAJOR for the program to take that next step forward. Between now and signing day, the staff needs to CASH IN on everything that has been accumulated over the course of what was by most standards a very successful season. NOW is the time that they are selling what they are doing at Minnesota, and that it's just how they've done it at multiple stops before.

This staff has built up some big-time equity over the last 3-4 months and right now they are out there on the road selling it with all they got. NOW is the time to cash in. Here's hoping they make Signing Day 2014 a memorable one!!!

This years class will be decent but the real pay off will be next year. The state of MN has an average class of prospects this year but next year should be outstanding! A lot of kids we would have been interested in crossed us of the list early, so this years success came too late for them, next years class is a different story, the coaches will have a much more receptive audience. This year we should be able to flip a couple of kids late and close the deal with a bigger percentage of are first choice prospects.

you make it sound like 1 winning season... and a .500 BIG record is going to blow the doors off of recruits... unless its a local kid your big fish is not in this pond... it will take many more winning seasons to parlay the sucsess of THIS univerisity to any no local recruit... not to say it wont help when we are recuting wisc, Tosu, neb, penn st, ect plan b c or d recruits... your going to have to gie it more time however to pay off dividends....

love the enthuisiasm

It's absolutely not going to swing an entire class. Of course not. But this is and will be an incremental process. 8-4 gets a better recruit than 3-9 or even 6-7. If it seals the deal on two recruits, that's a major step forward.

This will be a slow process, make no mistake about it. Each winning season is going to bring in just a LITTLE better recruit than the year before

Yes, the class for this year is mostly set. But that last couple recruits can change a class.
