Thorson practicing with the ones...looks good, ball has zip...but still waiting for doctor to say go ahead...protocol calls for eight months after knee surgery...eight months is September 9...remember NW opens August 30 with Purdue

backup QB is TJ Green, NFLer Trent Green's kid...6'0 tall...only offer was NDSU...he is a walk-on at Northwestern, 4th year in program.

What random team are you talking about and why should we care?

Northwestern. By the time we play them, Thorson will have been long cleared. This is -- maybe -- only impacting their game with Purdue. Thorson might even still play.

And by the way, if you click on the link in the OP, then scroll to the bottom, you can see the new athletes village that Northwestern just opened this summer. Sorry swing, but at least as far as quality goes (I don't know exact sqft/size of each), it's every bit as good as Minnesota's new facility. Frankly, both schools needed top-notch facility updates like these, so it's not worth arguing about!

Northwestern vs Purdue is one of the intriguing games of week 1. Can’t wait to watch that one.

I don’t think the 8 month protocol is a hard and fast rule. My money is on him playing.
