we are in the critical time for recruiting. this situation won't help. and if we have players transfer or get kicked out as a result, more scholarships will open up and it makes for tough recruiting.

Destroys it, the announcement of an intent to extend Claeys and then suspending 10 players shortly thereafter leaves a maelstrom of confusion and potentially destruction.

Baylor just passed us in recruiting ranking...

It's possible

It is possible we do not have a football team to recruit to depending how this is handled. If leadership does nothing...how do you tape this back together??
Coaches are supportive of players...it has to be negotiated. If it's not how will there be football? If there is no football, are we still in the Big Ten?
Major mess to let it get this far!
Can you recover from this, as Gopher athletics? If we don't play in the bowl game...how do coaches have jobs? You just forgive the 110 players? And if you did, how many still don't return in January if nothing has changed with the 10?
This has to be negotiated this week! If not, all bets are off we have a football team.

I agree. It's a huge mess. And if the president and the ad can't get off their heinies to get the job done, they do need to be removed. This could potentially throw our program into the dark ages that would take decades to recover from.

After a great recruiting class last year, this year's class is shaping up to be horrendous. I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't look good. At all.
