This team is fundamentally unsound.

-quarterback cannot throw a 6 yard pass

-players shouting at coaches

-stupid penalties

-uncovered 60 yard TDs two out of three weeks

-cannot run the ball at all

All this points to one thing, coaching. It takes a lot of 4 star recruits to cover up bad coaching, and at the end of the day, piss poor coaching almost never can be overcome by talent.

People have been saying this since last year why are you surprised?

I must be an optimist. I passed up two golf rounds

today so I could lay on the couch and watch Minnesota rush for 12? yards in the first half.

I'm impressed by the looks we've been throwing them on offense. Our defense is once again keeping us in the game. This game is still tied at zero if we don't blow that coverage. That said, we are obviously physically outmatched on defense against their offense; fortunately Pryor is very, very bad.

I have been and still am a brewster supporter but is pretty clear that this is a poorly coached team. I am not jumping on the fire brewster band wagon I have seen on this site but after 2 1/2 years he has not established anything that indicates he will be a quality head coach.

Then what are you saying? Keep Brewster?

I don't know. There is hardly anything a coach can do to force:
1. a QB to make good throws to open receivers
2. a WR to make catches of good throws, or even not-so-good throws
3. offensive players to hold onto the football
4. special team players to make good decisions
5. defenders to make tackles
6. defenders to make easy interceptions
7. players to not commit dumb penalties

At some point the players themselves have to step up and make some *#(&#(# plays.

I am not sure what part of I am still a brewster supporter you don't understand? I think he deserves more time but IMO has not shown the ability so far to become a quality head coach. can this change? sure, but it seems he has a long ways to go.

Our offensive coaching staff gets their a$$es kicked Monday through Thursday.

At this point I wish they were only unsound. They really look like crap today.

all good points but I would argue #4 & #7 can be directly linked to coaching.

teams take on the persona of their head coach. offense is completely lost and today the defense has given up because of the fact the offense is awful. much of these may have to do with preparation and that does go on the head coach and his staff.

Studwell said it pretty much here "Our offensive coaching staff gets their a$$es kicked Monday through Thursday."
