This made me giggle (for you anti-Notre Dame people)

Now now, norm, didn't you get the memo that this is a board for Gopher related topics ONLY??? :D

Awesome. I applaud whoever put money towards that. Weis' career at ND has been a wreck so far, considering he is pulling in top 10 classes yearly.

Are there very many pro-Notre Dame people? I won't lie, I'm a hater and always have been.

I hate Notre Dame too.
I know a couple ND graduates and you NEVER hear them talk college football until ND is ranked in the top 10 or better and then they start talking trash. The funny thing is that all I had to do to quiet them down was to ask them who the starting quarterback was. Couldn't give me even a guess.

Billboard erected in South Bend reads:

"Best wishes to Charlie Weis in the 5th year of his college coaching internship. -- Linebacker Alumni."

you want to know what i can't believe? i can't believe a grown man like yourself actually wrote the word "giggle" in the thread title!

just playin'...........well maybe not ;)

Not a hater, not a big fan either.

I hope they blow it this year, fire Weis, hire another failure, get knocked down a few notches in the recruiting and national media..... then find it advantageous to join the BigTen and settle this whole eleven-team conference garbage. I know its not really about wins, losses, coaches, and recruiting.... its all about tv, money, and university regents and presidents.

I can dream though, cant I?

Awesome, that takes balls. I give the person who paid to put the sign up, and who would have to face the thousands of Irish faithful if his identity was revealed, a lot of credit.

I also give the advertising agency in charge of the sign a lot of credit for withholding the name of the person responsible for the sign. I can't even imagine how many phone calls that they are receiving a day about complaints.

This just in, it was Tim Brewster who paid for the sign in order to keep Seantrel and Beau Allen at home!

Alumni from the late 60's are responsible

I read that some former players from the late 60's paid for this thing. I think it was on CFTalk.com. I'm a ND hater, but I want Weis to do enough to save his job (9 wins?) so he can continue to keep holding this uber-talented team back. Terrible coach, terrible town, terrible conferen...wait.
