Inept, almost bizarre offense, a coach that doesn't seem to care, a crowd that cares even less and fans that just couldn't see it until tonight. It's time to simply accept reality and stop trying justify a trip to the NCAA Tournament. It's not going to happen (outside of a Big 10 Tournament title). You wouldn't justify Northwestern's chances, would you? And the Wildcats have the same record at Minnesota and probably has better players...that's sad.

Let's stop justifying that Tubby is good for this program too. Like I stated above, it just doesn't look like he cares. I have seen little evidence that he's such a great coach. Honestly, what about this season suggests he's a "top 15 active coach." Let's remove his name and look objectively at his tenure. Though I wouldn't call it disastrous, I certainly wouldn't call it a success either. I mean, two trips to the NCAA Tournament in four years, one significant impact player signed under his reign (Mbakwe), a losing record in conference play, poor (laughable) execution out of timeouts and little player progression (look at Williams and Iverson). I wish it was easier to quantify Tubby's failure, but it isn't.

He did, however, take a sinking program and turn it into simply OK, which should be noted. But overall, I would count his four years as a C-.

Maroon- I agree with you on everything but the crowd. Seriously you have to give a crowd SOMETHING to work with. The game was 8-6 with 9 minutes gone. 21 - 19 at the half. Are you kidding? That was horrible basketball out there. Our offense looks completely with out purpose. A bad Spartan team had three times the movement on offense than we did.

Why is everyone ripping the crowd? Was I supposed to be cheering as I watched Colton Iverson chunk a hook after some awkward and slow ball movement? If the Gophers do something well, it's going to be louder, if not, it's going to stay quiet. Really not that difficult.

Also, did NW lose their starting PG and 6th man for the season? When this team had Al, they beat West Va, UNC, and Purdue, without Al, we lost to Virginia and have now lost 6 of 7. Did Tubby suddenly lose his coaching ability? NO, we lost our PG and a scorer! I don't see why it's that difficult to see that. Do I think Tubby deserves some of the criticism? Of course, we've lost 2 winnable games at home and are now 3 games below .500 in the BT, but to fire him? Really? Seems way too drastic to me.
