1. Charlie Weis
2. Kevin Wilson
3. Tim Beckman

After watching a NE team beat themselves with 5 turnovers, I vote for Bo.

Charlie may feel a little less heat today. The Jayhawks took care of West Virginia and they looked pretty good doing it. Next week, they take on Iowa State who has looked dreadful lately. I'd say a couple of conference wins may save his job.

In the B1G I would say only 3 need to worry: Pelini, Beckman, and Wilson.

Beckman looks like a sure thing at this point. I caught a little of their game today - yes, I have no life - and he almost got into a fist fight with his OC after a safety.

Generally a sure fire sign of trouble.

Isn't it amazing how just a month or so ago there were many people talking up Wilson and Indiana? Even a certain local radio guy (Dubay) was salivating over them and ripping those who said they weren't that good.

It's crazy how both the Gophers and Indiana where kinda at a crossroads (traditionally bad program, 3rd year coach, etc.) and they have gone completely opposite directions.

No, kidding. I still don't get the Indiana love this season. I was watching BTN early in the season, as Indiana and the Gophers were playing. They had a poll asking whether Indiana or Minnesota was more likely to go to a bowl game this year. About 70% said Indiana. Wrong again stupid fans.

People see a good offense and get googly-eyed.

Seeing what Stanford does to Oregon every year, I don't see how Wilson thinks he can do that offense in the ball control B1G.

Wilson lost his job today. His team gave up the first 5 minutes.

Pelini is done. I think Beckman gets fired, but Wilson gets another year.

I'll be curious to see where Kiffin lands.

Wilson is not a good coach and I agree that people are enamored by a good offense. I would be very upset with the way he's built a team if I was an IU fan. Also, I do not think you can consistently win in the Big 10 in November with a spread offense and bad defense.

Hopefully he'll take over (and run into the ground) the Alabama program after Saban heads to Texas.

I don't think it is the spread offense but more the hurry up. When it works, it really works. But if it doesn't work, your defense has no chance.

Wilson will get one more year. Beckham must be a total goof and windbag if he is already in trouble. He really only has one recruiting class on campus. Firing him so soon seems harsh, but then again I knew Brewster was a joke after the first press conference and would have supported giving him the Fran Foley. In some cases it doesn't take long to see that a guy is in over his head.
My list:
1. Mack Brown
2. Bo Pelini
3. Will Muschamp

I also predict there will be an opening in College Station, and not because Sumlin is going to USC. I think he has an NFL persona and someone is going to lure him up to The League.

+1. If a team like Indiana has a negative play on 1st down, they are cooked. Having the ball for 45 seconds and punting is a recipe for disaster.

I can't see USC keeping Orgeron, but think he will get another shot at a HC job.

It has nothing to do with the style of the offense paired with the bad defense.

If you have a pro-style offense and an all-time horrible defense you think you can win in November?

Do you realize we run a variation of the spread offense?
Do you realize Ohio state does too?

Wilson deserves more time. He has a young D and it is Indiana, not Michigan.

Beckmann should be gone. I think the other two deserve another year. Kansas was worse under Gill than Minnesota was under Brewster.

Indiana needs to recruit some JUCO defensive players. They may want to think of a DC switch. Clearly something isn't working over there.

Glen mason would be a good hire for Illinois I actually think. He's old. Spend 6-10 years before retiring stabilizing Illinois.

How about Hoke after OSU stomps on them?

How about Hoke after OSU stomps on them?

Hoke has had quite a few close-call wins the last 2 years. (2012: MSU game-winning FG, miracle catch by Roundtree against Northwestern. 2013: Akron, UCONN, and Northwestern again). I don't think his job is in danger this year, but a 7 win season next year, and he's feeling the heat.

I think Wilson is going to get another year. It's Indiana, and people (outside of Bloomington) were actually starting to talk about them in a positive way. I think he gets one more year to get to a bowl.

If Weis manages to get a win in their last two weeks, I think he'll get another year.

Beckman probably deserves another year, considering this is only his second year, but going 0-16 in conference play your first two years is pretty tough to overlook.

Pelini is probably gone, which is pathetic, as Nebraska fans still think it's the 90's. I don't think there's a more entitled, unrealistic fan base in the country. Pelini is a pretty big d-bag, but he certainly shouldn't be fired based on his record.

What exactly has Pelini put in the trophy case, for the millions he's been paid? What part of his erratic record is supposed to give anyone a really warm glow?

And erratic behavior. B!tching about fans, wasn't a good move, even if he didn't expect the tapes to get out (or know he was being recorded).

Beckman definitely should be gone, but will the AD that hired him just two years ago have the guts to pull the trigger so quickly? That'd be admitting he made a mistake, something AD's don't like to do just two years in. Never been impressed with Beckman, seems like a lightweight. He belongs in the Sun Belt, if that.

I still like Wilson, and think he deserves more time. Agree with what most of you have said, he's gotta' do something about that defense. At least get it to the point where it's respectable.
