31 is the fewest points OSU has scored on ANYONE including Michigan St. (which didn't even come close). Only Mich St. and Virginia Tech (who played them before the quarterback had had some experience under his belt) scored more than 24 on them ALL YEAR. We did much better than Mich St. did against them at home. There is no way we can criticize anyone on our team. They did an outstanding job. To demand perfection, especially against the 8th best team in the country is unrealistic. These guys deserve our praise…I know they have mine. The Gophers are for real….and suddenly our next two games look much more winnable and it is realistic to think we might have all 4 trophies at the end of this year.

They only scored 21 on Virginia tech.
They scored 17 on penn state in regulation. 31 on penn state including overtimes.

The weather helped for sure, if this was an early season game we are giving up 40+

I believe that Minnesota also held TCU to their lowest point total on the season.

In what way? Other than a few dropped passes, they moved the ball pretty well. It was cold but wasn't windy. I don't think you can point at their three turnovers and say it was definitely caused by the weather. The hit BBC put on the guy at the goaline was right on the ball. Those things happen when it is sunny and 75 as well.

I'm sure the weather had some affect, but it probably did on us as well.

Understand, the differential is the most important aspect. Keeping OSU to within 7 pts is a great accomplishment.

Ooops my bad…yeah, in the game they lost they scored fewer (but Barnett wasn't on fire then).

Well let's be honest. They fumbled at the goal line, which could easily have been points. The weather also played a factor. If we were still in the dome, this would have been every bit the blowout it could have been. All that said, 31-24 doesn't look too bad.

The open air stadium has helped the Gophers in numerous late season games. Hate to think what the Buckeyes' speed would have been like in the weatherless Dome on a dry carpet.

Today. The last 2 times we beat Iowa before this year. There's 3. And I'm tired.

And why do you assume we were helped anymore than Iowa in '10 or '11? Because their team is a warm weathered team? Because they have more players from warm weather states? Or no facts - just cuz we won. Preposterous!

OK. Let's play the "if" game. If they don't fumble... If ML7 throws the deep ball to KJ one foot shorter...

Yesterday was a push for me. We lost the game but section 117 won the Old Dutch Chips Spin!
