Gophers break away from a scoreless first half with a 3rd quarter touchdown pass play of 27 yards. The quarterback is a junior from Edina who is having the first 1,000 yard passing season in school history. Minnesota 42 Michigan State 34
Adam Weber passes for 416 yards with 5 scoring throws. The most memorable comes with 6:00 to play. Clinging to a 35-31 lead, Weber throws downfield over the middle. The pass bounces off of a prone tight end and right into the hands of a speeding Duane Bennett who completes a 59-yard scoring play. The tight end, a Redwood Falls product, had earlier caught 2 of Weber's touchdown passes. Can you name him?

A day early for this post btw.

I did not include October 30 because the Gophers have just won twice on this date since 1930. I like to have 5 questions so went with October 31 because the Gophers have had more success on this date. Thank you.
