The answers to yesterday's question were John Campbell and Jim Cairns.

Minnesota 20 Michigan 15
On their way to a share of the Big Ten title, Gophers trail Michigan 15-0 in first half but score the winning touchdown with 5:00 to play on a 5-yard td run by a senior quarterback from Lawton, Oklahoma. He was not a great passer but he ran the option offense very well. Can you name him?

My dad had to miss that game because I was born on that day.

Bleed was on top of it! I don't know Mr. Nomellini, I have to nit pick a little bit. Curtis ran that quarterback sweep to the right, I didn't know there was an option involved. Regardless, nice blast from the past. Thanks!

Way back when, all of our QB sweeps to the right or the left had a trailer, that being the end from the opposite side trailed the play as a safety outlet, and/or responsible for the unheard of fumble to save any bad thing from happening. It also served as a pitch man in case the QB was challenged because of a missed block up front on the sweep. I used it once in an entire season, and it worked. So, in the whole scheme of things, it has always been there, just used different terminology.

Did you know that Murray played 4 QB's that yr? Wilson, Carlson, Stephens, and Hagen.
